How to Mint an Obscura NFT
To mint an NFT on Obscura, you need to connect your wallet to the platform using Zano Companion. This applies to both desktop and mobile. On desktop, Zano Companion is used as a browser extension. On mobile, it is integrated directly into the Zano Wallet app.
Follow these steps to mint an NFT:
Open Your Zano Wallet
On desktop, launch your Zano wallet and let it fully sync with the blockchain. On mobile, open the Zano Wallet app and tap "Browser" to access the Obscura platform.
Enable Zano Companion (Desktop Only)
In the desktop wallet, go to Settings and activate the Zano Companion toggle.
Set a master password if prompted.
Copy the wallet secret shown in the settings.
Install and Set Up the Extension (Desktop Only)
Add the Zano Companion extension from the Chrome Web Store.
Paste in your wallet secret and create a password to access the extension.
Visit the Obscura Platform
On desktop, go to obscura.art in your browser and navigate to Create Obscura to start your mint. On mobile, open the Zano Wallet app, tap "Browser," and visit the Obscura platform from within the in-app browser.
Connect Your Wallet
On both desktop and mobile, click Connect Wallet on the Obscura platform. A popup will appear from Zano Companion asking for permission to connect your wallet. Accept the request to link your wallet with Obscura and continue with the minting process.
Mint the NFT
Before you can mint, make sure you have uploaded the image and filled in any metadata you want included in the NFT. After connecting your wallet, click the Mint button. You will be prompted to approve the transaction using Zano Companion or your mobile wallet. After confirming, your NFT will be created and sent privately to your wallet. Minting an Obscura NFT requires 10 confirmation blocks. With one block every minute, this takes about 10 minutes to complete.
Your NFT is now privately stored in your wallet and ready to use through the Obscura platform.
