Introduction
Obscura is a privacy-first NFT platform built on the Zano blockchain using its Confidential Asset technology. It allows creators to issue confidential NFTs that act as access tokens for gated content, online communities, exclusive products, real-world events, and more.
Unlike traditional NFT platforms that expose user behaviour and token ownership on public blockchains, Obscura ensures ownership remains fully private. Anyone can see the Obscura asset type, but only the actual holder knows which NFTs they own. Transfers, balances, and ownership are hidden by default using Zano’s native privacy technologies.
All metadata is embedded directly into the asset and securely stored on IPFS, removing the need for centralized storage or external APIs.
Obscura empowers creators, communities, and collectors to create, trade, and manage NFTs while keeping their financial activity and identity fully private. This documentation will guide you through everything you need to get started.
